I rated this product great because the concept really is great in that it makes cleaning the Egg much easier. The can is also well-made and I'm sure it will last virtually forever. I have to point out, however, that the rim on the top of my can does not fit as precisely as I'd like with the inside of the Egg. The consequence is that a certain amount of ash is able to get through around the outside. Not a big deal but just seems to be just a bit too tall, which is not the case with my XL can.

a few cooks in and it does exactly as expected. captures 90% of the ash and 100% of any chunks. along with the basket clean up and lump prep for the next cook is fast and easy. shake the basket then set aside, lift out and empty the can, reinstall all and put ready to cook again in just a minute or two. it's thick metal so i expect it'll last a long time.

Awesome - makes taking out ash a breeze

Can is a nice enhancement to my large Green Egg. Cleanup is much easier and really works hand in hand with the basket. Couldn’t be any happier.

I waited entirely too long to purchase the Kick Ash Basket. By far the most efficent way to keep my BGE performing at its best.
